WHAT COMES AFTER

Nick Sweat's 'Wreckage’ is not too far removed from what other artists might refer to as their “archives”, or maybe even their "Greatest Hits". Volume 01 consists of Sweat’s favorite recordings so far, before the introduction of his backing band The Phantom Headlights, reaching as far back as 2010 and on into late 2014. This compilation contains tracks from both of his traditional rock bands during this period: The Old Curiosity Shop and STRANGE TARANTUALS, 3 songs from the abandoned 'MELANCHOLIA' concept album, a song from 2010's "professionally recorded demo album" 'Chasing Ghosts' and a few solo acoustic performances sprinkled throughout that were originally bare-bones demos for an abandoned album called 'Interrogation Techniques'.

The only work of Sweat's professional career not represented here is BOGEYMAN'S TEARS. That full length album and its bonus 80s covers can be found at : bogeymanstears.bandcamp.com. With their concept album 'The Ether's Tragic' you'll discover a dark descent into alternative guitar-oriented synthwave.

While it took some time for him to get back on his feet, things seem to be full steam ahead for the foreseeable future. With the introduction of his southern gothic alt-country band The Phantom Headlights, Sweat and his fellow travelers are currently playing the local circuit and have plans to enter the studio before the end of the year.
